The Running of the Mouths

America, at least the Republicans, are getting ready for the second "dog and pony show" that they like to call the second Republican debate.  At the Reagan Presidential Library, with Reagan's Air Force One as a backdrop, the candidates are well aware that there are only 5 months left until the Iowa Caucuses.  There are a lot of people making their guesses as to what is going to happen tonight when the contenders at the back of the pack try to break out and move up.

The conventional wisdom is that Trump is unstoppable;  I do not agree completely with that.  Since the last debates the forces that are working against him have been putting in overtime studying him, his habits, and finding his weaknesses.  From what I have seen his ego and sense of self-righteousness have served as a sort of thick coat of paint to cover the cracks in his persona.  Here are some things that I would use to whittle him down and peal back some of those layers to show the cracks.

1)  Total inexperience as a public servant.

The well meaning Barney Fife

Donald Trump has been a refreshing voice on a lot of issues and I believe that if he had done this pre-Obama (PO) then he might have been able to change America for the better and get us into a real recovery with a sense of nationalism not seen since the end of the Cold War.   Trump isn't saying anything that anyone else hasn't at least been thinking, but the anti-American forces in this country have had free reign for a long time now.  They are not only hurdles of trying to fight the groups in Congress, but the Supreme Court and members of the Government as a whole.   Also, he has to figure out how to keep his own party from doing everything they can to punish him and the American people for stepping out of line.  Barack Obama was a mistake, but he was put where he is by powerful people and is doing exactly what he is told.

2) That mouth of his.

Trump like to say things to people

Time to hire a handler. Seriously, the world is full of some GREAT people to help you know what to say and when to say it.  This spray and pray tactic is only good while the ammo is plentiful; don't over use it.

3) They are coming for you.

Megyn Kelly was a huge ratings coup for FOX.  Everyone was talking about Megyn Kelly and Trump.  CNN has been falling behind and has been stale for a long time.  The "Missing Airline Network" has been needing something to give them some credibility and tonight they are not going to miss their chance.  I am really interested in seeing how the other candidates react when this becomes the Trump show.

4) Ideals and real down to Earth Americans.

Chinese invasion begins!

Outside of some name similarities, Trump and I have about as much in common as river rocks and butterflies.  Seriously.  I am sure that I would be stopped and questioned just coming into one of his properties.  I would like him to keep being Trump and not put on a flannel shirt to be photographed digging a hole somewhere that isn't a ground breaking ceremony on a new property.  I like that he is super wealthy and I am poor; each of us can agree on the problems that affect us both.

5) There are powerful people out there who will do anything to win.

Da fishes wit 'em
When the drug lord was allowed to escape from prison I figured that this was the prologue to an assassination attempt.  There are a lot of people who simply vanish or die under questionable circumstances in Washington.  I would say that I hope that Donald Trump buys a great security team and safety makes it through the cycle.

Candidates Prepare Their Texas Sidesteps

At this point in the game we are getting wound up for the 2nd debate, to be held in Colorado on September the 16th 2015.  I need to remind everyone that this is still REALLY early in the cycle and a lot can change.   Already since the last debate we have seen Carly Fiorina and Dr. Ben Carson start getting more press; they were the ones that were bringing up the back of the pack before.  Now, we find them being talked about and everyone in between has more or less gone silent.

It's bad when your strategy is being written by these two

Why?  Why aren't the other candidates out there trying to engage their opponents?  Why is the GOP primary shaping up into a David and Goliath fight?  I think it is because the Republican establishment have blown every ghost of a chance to make things right with the real Americans.  They were elected with mandate after mandate only to roll over and fail in every possible way.  Then only way the establishment could have failed any worse is if they all decided to actually change parties and quit pretending.  You know what? Scratch that.  I want them to all change parties; I am sick of having to work so hard to try to guess who is a Republican (or conservative) in name only (RINO).  We will never get rid of the party system so why can't we do more to punish those who are traitors and saboteurs? I digress.

People need to pay REAL close attention to what happens during this election cycle.  The globe is pandering to terrorist gangsters; facists and communists, I mean Labor parties are being swept into high offices in Europe; and it is illegal to make people prove that they are US citizens to register to vote in this country.  We as a people have to stop reading bumper stickers; start looking for the clues and making our own minds up about what we want.  In this up coming debate, really listen close to the answers that people give and ask yourself if they are actually giving answers to the questions.

Don't let this chance to stop the bleeding pass; we might never get another chance.
