Let's Get Ready to Fumble!!!!!

The night has arrived and they didn't manage to get the Trumpster out.  They have done everything they can to make sure that he was marginalized into obscurity with an unrelenting level of attacks normally reserved for the President of the United States himself.  Everything he has said has been mocked, torn apart, and ridiculed.   Here are how things are shaping up.

The line up consists of the 10 highest scoring candidates over the last 5 surveys that Fox News had conducted.  They are as follows; Donald Trump (23%), Jeb Bush (13%), Scott Walker (11%), tied at 7% are Mike Huckabee and Ben Carson, Ted Cruz (6%), tied 5% are Rand Paul and Maro Rubio, and in last place at 3% are John Kasich and Chris Cristie.

Starting at the back of the pack we have Gov. John Kasich of Ohio.   Whether it's battling with Libertarians in his home state over budget numbers, as reported by the Columbus Dispatch:

or trying to stage one of the fastest climbs up a Republican popularity board:

he has beaten the long odds to knock out Texas Governor Rick Perry to take a spot on stage Thursday night.

Next in the line up is New Jersey Governor Chis Christie.

DEMOCRAT.

As we move up the list we run into a man who has done a lot for the causes of freedom.  Libertarian candidate Rand Paul, Senator for the great state of Kentucky.  Besides looking after the home state of such great American institutions such as Jack Daniels, Louisville Sluggers, bluegrass, and the greatest horse race in America, he has also been a defender of American liberties in the US Senate.  I will be very interested in what the esteemed Senator from Kentucky will have to say.

For Senator Marco Rubio we see a man who is of Cuban heritage and who has a distinct perspective on immigration.  Some people will lump him in as a shoe in with other immigrants; not all immigrants get along nor do they automatically share the same points of view.

Since we are going to be deprived the presence of the Texas Gov. Rick Perry, a Senator will have to do.  Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas is the Tea Party darling of this debate and is going to be a good weather gauge as to the influence the Tea Party might have during this go around.  Keep an eye on the polls because not only is he the Tea Party favorite, but he was also a former Canadian.  Since he gave up his citizenship on June 10th 2014 after it came out with the release of his birth certificate.  Sen. Cruze was also very vocal in the Senate against the ACA and he supported shutting down the US Government to try to stop it.

The retired neurosurgeon, Dr. Ben Carson, has come out as a plain spoken candidate and has been working overtime for some time now to get his message out.  As an educated African-American he must work against the Democrats who spread the attitude that he is an "Uncle Tom" and "betraying his people to the white man".

Oh I wish I were in the land of cotton. No wait, this isn't the first Clinton election.

This is the "New" Arkansas and the former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee is ready to take yet another crack at it.  The former Governor did OK in the last election and gave a good show, but he just couldn't seem to get his base energized.   Having the distinction of being the only participant of the debates who had his own show on FOX.  I would have personally been more impressed if he had been able to do both at the same time; conflict of interest not withstanding.

There are five current or former Governors on this list and the next candidate is dragging a mountain of luggage behind him; retaining his office with an army of lawyers and with an equally formidable force of Union organizers pounding at his door; Governor of Wisconsin, Scott Walker.  Boy howdy, where to begin with this train wreck of a long odds race runner.  Gov. Walker has done everything except to actually piss in the Wheaties of his enemies.  I am not sure what it is that lives under his bed and possibly keeps him up at night, but I wouldn't want to meet it.  I am not sure how he puts his pants on in the morning with balls as big as his.  At the end of the day I am interested in what he has to say during the debates and I am impressed his has held on to his position so far.

 Governor Jeb Bush of Florida.

No.

Now,  as the leader of the pack in this lineup of candidates some people might think of him as "King Shit of Turd Mountain" and those people probably have a point.  The man who is going to be performing in his first nationally televised debate; Donald Trump, billionaire.   Remember it's not too late to give him a call and ask him about his campaign.  Media site www.Gawker.com thought that they were being cleaver when they posted Donald Trump's phone number as an act of revenge for Trump's release of Sen. Lindsey Graham's phone number.  So, give him a call; 917-756-8000

So, Thursday night i will be listening and watching along with the rest of America as the first round of the election gets underway.  The first candidate's debate; watch it on your local FOX network, on Facebook (http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2015/08/04/how-to-be-part-fox-news-facebook-debate-event-night/), and FOX radio stations.  The festivities get kicked off on the Facebook page at 5pm ET.
